Well, it’s safe to say that the ‘silly season’ is in full swing! The team at The Squire’s Landing have been busy rolling out new menus, pulling off countless Christmas functions, celebrating (drinking) the arrival of a new small batch beers and putting the finishing touches on our New Year’s Eve event. We have started the official countdown to Christmas Day and in the process, put together a list of ways you can have The Most Wonderful Time of Year (with a beer).
Christmas: the one time of year it is acceptable to eat excessively, gain five kegs and embrace 4pm food comas. We have recently made some changes to our restaurant and Brewhouse menus and we think you should try them. Hot tip: The Hervey Bay scallops and spanner crab (gf) with pickled carrot, watermelon, pomelo, ‘mojito’ dressing goes highly recommended.
If you’re stopping by for a quick feed to enjoy our live music in the bar, give the 1.4kg Tomahawk steak for two a whirl, served with our famous chimichurri sauce. Lastly, if you find yourself needing a hangover cure on New Year’s Day, come on in… We’re open from 8am for your New Year’s Eve recovery breakfast!
P.S. Our Instagram page is a roundup of all the good food you can order at The Squire’s Landing.
The beers on tap at The Squire’s Landing are always changing which provides you with the perfect excuse to frequent the bar over Christmas. We’ve even got beer paddles available for those who find it tough to decide what to order (don’t blame you). The bar is open from 10am every day except for Christmas. Hot tip: Happy Hour is SO much happier over Christmas!
If beer isn’t your thing we won’t tell James Squire. Instead, one of our friendly team will offer you our long list of wines, cocktails and bottled beverages, all of which will keep your thirst at bay.
It’s true that when you grow older, Christmas becomes less about receiving and more about giving. For this reason, we’ve got some suggestions as to how you can make someone else feel extra special this year.
Live tunes take place every night of the week so come down and support local Sydney talent! You can check out the schedule here. Hot tip: Get around the dance floor on a Friday or Saturday night!
There is always plenty happening around the Circular Quay precinct. Our first Australia Day will be huge and the Sydney Festival lineup is looking the goods!

From the team at The Squire’s Landing, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and look forward to bringing in the New Year side by side.
