More Snow and More Beers in the Snowy Mountains this Month

Kosciuszko BockThe Kosciuszko Brewery at the Banjo Paterson Inn in Jindabyne brewed up a genuine German-style Bock beer especially for the skiers enjoying our recent good snow. Mick and I used a combination of Pale, Munich, Chocolate and Crystal malts to create a rich dark malt driven beer with an invigorating 7.5 % alcohol level. Super Alpha hops from NZ provided the background bitterness, and late hop additions of East Kent Golding and a new USA variety Citra, produced refreshing floral and fruity notes. The Bock is so refreshing that consumers are warned not to drink it in excess, but to savour and really enjoy the rich character. It is available only on tap in middies from the main bar area. Only 400 litres have been brewed.
Cheers,
Chuck
